Funding, delivery, measuring, FAQ

Everything important about funding eligibility, delivery terms, measuring and frequently asked questions – compact & transparent.

Funding eligibility

Whether a window is eligible for funding generally depends on the Uw value of the entire window (frame + glass). From Uw ≤ 0.95 W/m²K, funding is often possible. Below is a guide to efficiency classes:

Class
Uw
Classification
A+++
Uw ≤ 0.80
very good windows
A++
Uw ≤ 0.85
very good windows
A+
Uw ≤ 0.90
very good windows
A
Uw ≤ 0.95
good windows
B
Uw ≤ 1.00
good windows
C
Uw ≤ 1.10
good windows
D
Uw ≤ 1.20
standard windows
E
Uw ≤ 1.30
standard windows
F
Uw ≤ 1.40
standard windows
G
Uw ≤ 1.50
standard windows
Note: The table is for guidance only. Funding programmes may change; the programme conditions of the respective funding body (e.g. KfW/BAFA) are binding.

How do I get funding?

  • Include energy advice: Have your existing building checked by a certified energy consultant. They will assess whether your project and building situation meet the requirements.
  • Uw certificate from manufacturer: For funding-eligible windows (e.g. from Uw ≤ 0.95) and sliding doors you will receive suitable product documentation/certificates.
  • Funding body & application: Application (often before placing the order!) is made by you – partly via energy advice/portal of the funding body.

We are happy to advise you on our products and typical Uw values. Please note: We cannot submit applications or make commitments. The application and compliance with all requirements is entirely your responsibility and depends on the conditions on site.

Delivery terms
  • Delivery by 40-tonne lorry: Regardless of order size, delivery is made with a large lorry. Please ensure that access, parking and unloading area are sufficient.
  • Equipment: The lorry has a forkliftno crane. The forklift must be able to move on the premises.
  • Delivery date: The agreed date is binding as tours are scheduled. If delivery is not possible (no access, nobody on site) additional costs may arise.
  • Rare delays: In exceptional cases the lorry may not appear despite notification (traffic, delays on the tour, legal driving/rest times). We ask for your understanding – we have no influence on this. We will inform you as soon as possible.
  • Complete delivery: Orders are delivered together; delivery time therefore depends at least on the longest item in your order.

Guide: measuring correctly

No worries – with this step-by-step guide you can determine the right dimensions. Always measure in millimetres (mm) and note width × height. Check at several points – the smallest value counts.

Windows (replacement in existing building)

  1. Clarify type: Are we measuring in the shell (wall opening) or is an old window already installed (replacement)?
  2. Measure width: Measure inside the reveal left, centre, right from masonry to masonry. Note the smallest value.
  3. Measure height: Measure inside left, centre, right from lintel to sill/parapet (or floor in shell). Note the smallest value.
  4. Deduction: Deduct 10–20 mm total (depending on building condition) from width/height for installation joint. Standard: 10 mm clearance per side.
  5. Check dimensions: Are reveals crooked? Measure diagonally – note large deviations.
  6. Installation height & connections: Consider sill, roller shutter guide, insulation, frame bearing (e.g. 30 mm).
  7. Result: Order dimension = smallest wall opening – deduction (per direction).

Tip: For renovation, a quick photo of the reveals with dimensions is worthwhile – helps avoid misunderstandings.

Sliding doors (e.g. lift-slide or PSK doors)

  1. Measure width: Measure wall-to-wall top, centre, bottom. Note the smallest value.
  2. Measure height: Measure from lintel to top of finished floor (OFF). Consider planned threshold/floor build-up.
  3. Deduction: Deduct at least 15–20 mm total for joint and seal (all round, less at bottom depending on threshold).
  4. Threshold & drainage: Low-threshold designs need a clean subfloor, consider gradient/waterproofing.
  5. Opening direction & fixed part: Define when viewed from inside (e.g. "panel runs to the right").
  6. Result: Order dimension = smallest wall opening – deduction. Please contact us if unsure.

Note: Large elements are heavy – check the access route and placement area for delivery/the forklift.

Front doors (entrance doors)

  1. Measure width: Measure wall-to-wall top, centre, bottom. Note the smallest value.
  2. Measure height: Measure from lintel to top of finished floor (OFF). Consider planned threshold or floor build-up.
  3. Deduction: Deduct at least 15–20 mm total for joint and seal (all round). Less at bottom depending on threshold type.
  4. Threshold: For barrier-free threshold check subfloor and gradient. For higher threshold consider waterproofing.
  5. Opening direction: Define when viewed from inside (door opens left or right).
  6. Result: Order dimension = smallest wall opening – deduction. Please contact us if unsure.

Note: Front doors are large and heavy – check access route and placement area for delivery.

Important: Dimension survey is the responsibility of the builder/customer. We check plausibility but cannot guarantee on-site openings without an on-site survey.

Frequently asked questions FAQ

Answers to the most common questions about funding, ordering, delivery and warranty.

How can I configure and order windows online?
